Anne Wolf piano, claviers, compositions. Piano, synthesizer, composition Anne Wolf has been studying piano since the age of nine. After 10 years of lessons in state music academies, she goes to the Royal Conservatory of Brussels* where she obtains a first prize in music Theory at the same time following courses in classical harmony, musical analysis, educational psychology and history of classical music.
From this time on she begins a very active career as a side-woman working with various singers and participating in many different projects. These include a wide range of styles such as Brazilian, African and soul music. Meanwhile she continues to study at the Conservatoire but this time in the jazz department and obtains four years later a first prize in piano.
These last years her taste for jazz and South American music have brought her to form her own trio and quartet. In 2002, she receives the “DJANGO D’OR” conceded once a year to a new Belgian jazz talent.
Some important encounters that have had an impact on her career are: Michel Petrucciani, Eric Legnini, Charles Loos, Marcia Maria, Pierre Van Dormael.
Anne Wolf has also performed out of Belgium and toured with different bands in Switzerland, Germany, France, Denmark, Luxemburg, Portugal, Netherlands, Japan, Canada and New York. She appears on about fifteen albums and has composed music for television and theatre. She has been teaching for more than ten years in private and public music schools (Mouvement and Opus Artis Schools, Saint-Josse State Music Academy in Brussels).
