Jacques Pirotton guitare Born near Liege in 1955, Jacques Pirotton started playing the guitar at the age of 14 and then went on to study at the conservatoire in Liege with Bill Frisell, Serge Lazarevitch, Steve Houben, Michel Herr...He became a professional musician with Jacques Pelzer with whom he played with for 12 years. This led to meeting up with Chet Baker, Phil Woods, Dave Liebman and many more ,,Since this period , he collaborated with several Belgian jazzmen and was the source of many different groups , PHINC (Pirotton-Houben-Incorporation). Recently he joined with Joe Higham in the group Al Orkestra and has his own quartet with Fabrice Alleman, Benoît Vanderstraeten and Jan de Haas. His eclecticism, sense of harmony and great understanding of completely different styles of music makes Jacques a guitarist very much appreciated. |
