“In C” (minor) is a piece commissioned by “Hidden Valley Music Seminars” (California), written originally for soprano sax and 7 cellos (the première was held in California in May 2007). This album version has been cut down to accommodate soprano sax and string quartet. It is dedicated to Adrienne and Peter Meckel.
“Au Fil du Temps” is an arrangement of the main theme of a film score (a documentary called “La vie d’un lecteur au temps de la fin du livre”, directed by Luc Jabon), that I wrote in 2004, which was the year the film was released.
“Angel Cuddle” is dedicated to all of the angels who made this project possible. They’ll know who they are, I’m sure, and my sincerest thanks go out to them!
Charles Loos
Charles Loos / Steve Houben / Quatuor Thaïs : "Au fil du temps"
Steve Houben and Charles Loos have been playing together for over 30 years.
Their preference has always gone to being original: as a duo (in which Charles sometimes plays the church organ), or as a trio with Maurane (making the famous HLM trio)...
On this album, they perform with the sublime string quartet, Thaïs, in a repertoire composed and orchestrated entirely by Charles Loos.
