Edu Ribeiro was born in Florianopolis, Brazil, in 1975. In 1995 he moved to São Paulo, where he found lots of opportunities to work with great artists, such as Yamandœ Costa, Chico Pinheiro, Johnny Alf, João Donato, Rosa Passos, Anthony Wilson, Ivan Lins, Arismar do Esp’rito Santo, Joyce, Dori Caymmi, Léa Freire, Bocato, Hamilton de Hollanda, Paulo Moura and Dominguinhos, among many others. His growing discography includes releases with Rosa Passos (Azul), Chico Pinheiro (Meia noite-meio dia and Chico Pinheiro), Yamandu Costa (Yamandu ao vivo), Lea freire (Cartas Brasileiras and Antologia da Can�ão) and Edsel Gomez (Celebrating Chico Buarque de Holanda), among others. Besides recording as a sideman, he had also released the following albums: Corrente, (Maritaca, 2005, with Paulo Paulelli and F‡bio Torres), Horizonte (Trama, 2003, with Daniel DÕAlcântara) and çgua (Cântaro, 1999, with Chico Saraiva and Zé Nigro). He is also the soundtrack composer for two documentaries - Carroceiros (2005) and Crian�as (2006), both directed by Alexandre Rathsam. In his first album solo ,ÒJ‡ t™ te esperandoÓ (Maritaca -2006), Edu shows his own compositions, featured by Chico Pinheiro, Daniel DÕAlcântara, F‡bio Torres, Paulo Paulelli, Thiago do Esp’rito Santo and Toninho Ferragutti.
